Question: Those who oppose a flat tax are the “problem”; are you the problem or the solution?

The Ted Kennedy democrats have fought and won numerous battles, so that many people who should pay their share of income tax, pay nothing. Only an idiot would not see the strategy- force only middle and uppper class people to pay all the taxes, when they complain, say that “the rich” want tax breaks. It only takes 1/2 the people to support this strategy; 50% of all people already pay no tax, so the challenge for socialists is getting them to vote.

Strip away deductions and tax shelters and all the accounting tricks, so that every wage earner pays 10%, no matter what. The only people who will object are the socialists, communists and the bean counters (guess what, they are just unecessary overhead anyway) & which political party? Which political party uses class envy as a means of exploiting poor people?

Answer: In the countries where flat tax is now used, the tax rate immediately drops and for some reason GDP grows in leaps and bounds (Russia, Poland). This is because everyone is now footing the bill and wants a lower rate. if a flat tax were instituted the rate would be around 13% but would drop quickly. Remember, most of the rich have expensive lobbyists and pay a lower rate than most upper-middle class. I think we could all agree that lobbyists are the scurge of our national government, flat tax would send a great deal of them to the unemployment line. Unfortunately our congresses don’t want the money-flow to thier wallet to stop, so, they will block all attempts to change the tax system.
