Question: How do Republicans propose to guarantee that a person with a pre-existing condition would have?

access to affordable health insurance?

I’m not talking about someone who holds off buying health insurance until they get sick, and then decides he wants to buy it.

I’m talking about someone who has group insurance through an employer, and who develops some illness, and then later loses his health insurance. Even if he immediately tries to buy health insurance on the individual policy market, the insurers will tell him that he has a pre-existing condition and will either not cover that condition, or they won’t sell him any insurance at all.

What’s the Republican plan to guarantee that this person will not be denied health insurance or not be quoted a rate so high or with such a high deductible as to be a useless policy?
The problem with high risk pools is that you’re grouping all the people with pre-existing conditions together, which means their insurance is too expensive.

Being given access to insurance that you can’t afford is no help.

Answer: Sadly , their answer is always that such a person should rely on charities or fund raisers, basically, the critically ill that cannot afford their treatment are SOL.

Answer: You don’t pay your deductible to the insurance company, it is owed to the shop that completed the work on your car. The insurance has already sent the shop what they owe them, you have to pay them the deductible.

You could contact the shop to see if they will work with you on the deductible. It is up to them
