Question: Can I get a tax credit/deduction for 8 weeks online study at a university for skill that enhance my job search?
The university do not issue 1098T for non-degree online certificates, amount i paid was $ 1600
I was given a certificate after passing the test in May 2009Answer: If the university was a “qualified educational institution” then yes, you can take the Lifetime Learning Credit. Generally, a “qualified educational institution” is one that is qualified to receive federal student aid.
