Question: Are college application fees and expenses associated with visiting schools tax deductible?
I spent a lot of money on application fees and visiting colleges for interviews. I was hoping to deduct that as an education expense. Does anyone know if this is legal? Thank you!
Answer: Education expenses are tuition, college fees (but not application fees which are to a third party) and possibly residency costs
