What Is The Deductible For Medicare

Question: Do you support Single Payer Health Insurance?

I have look examined our Health Care Crisis in this country quite alot for various school papers and what not. From my personal observations and my research it seems the best solution is to adopt more or less what Canada and most other industrialized nations have for health-care, which is a single-payer sort of system. Total coverage health insurance for everyone.

Think about it: No deductibles, no insurance premiums, or people with-out health-care coverage, or those people tying up the emergency room and driving up costs because they cant afford to get there problem taken care of at a clinic.
The system would be financed much the same way Medicare and Medicaid are. In fact these two systems are known to be much less expensive and wasteful then normal Insurance or even HMO’s because the extra overhead for marketing and 6 figure CEO salaries is not there.

Anybody have an opinion on this???

Answer: I would support it , if it could be proved to work. We are supposed to be the greatest country, then we should make it work.

I am sick of hearing about it making our taxes go up. of course it will. but are you forgetting that you will no longer have health insurance premiums. If our taxes go up much less than what the cost of our insurance was, then it is a good thing.

I also have no problem with government health insurance if run right. We all know that group insurance is the best. Why not make one giant group with everyone in America eligible? make it affordable. I live in a state where 1 in 4 doesn’t have health insurance. If it were more affordable, that would make a difference. My current coverage is with a very small group and it cost me 10 to 12 thousand a year to cover my family. I can’t afford that. most Americans can’t afford that.
