Large Deductible Plan

Large Deductible Plan

Question: Can you typically set up a payment plan with your health insurance company (for a very large bill)?

Answer: You don’t pay the deductible to your insurance company, they take it off the reimbursement.

It’s the provider you need to deal with, and most will accomodate a payment plan, especially if the bill is large. It’s better than getting stiffed, and it shows your intentions are honorable.

Call the doctor or hospital.
