Question: What is the “Minimum Essential Health Coverage” the IRS will Enforce?
How much health insurance will be enforced by the IRS under health care? Will the IRS allow my existing high deductible plan? Will the IRS fine me if my deductible too high for my income?
Answer: The minimum coverage has not been determined yet and the IRS is not the agency that will be enforcing the minimum standard that will be set.
As long as you have coverage that meets the minimum coverage standard, the IRS will not care what your deductible is.
