Tax Cut

Question: Did anyone receive a free copy of Tax Cut software?
I used Tax Cut software to file my 2007 taxes. Then, I received a copy of the 2008 version in the mail.
I am suspicious, and hesitant to install and use it, because I thought they required you to buy a new copy each year. I didn’t think they provided you with the next year’s version free of charge.
Anyone else run into this?
Answer: You might launch the CD and then it may ask for a key to continue which you would have to purchase from the web site. I’m not sure as I have not received one.
However, if you do a 1040EZ or a 1040 with Schedule A, you can do those for FREE at the TurboTax web site and even do your electronic filing for FREE on the Federal return. (They charge for the state product). I used it last year and will also use it this year.

Deductible Amount Insurance

Question: What does my deductible mean on my blue cross insurance?
On my medical card it has a $20 copay and then a spot where it says ded: $1000/2000. I’m assuming that is deductible? Is that the amount I have to pay when going to the doctors office and they take care of anything after that amount? And if so, is that what comes out of my check each month?
In addition, if I have tests/labwork done, is that included in my insurance after the deductible is paid, or am I going to see a bill for that later on?
Thanks!
Answer: 1000 deductible means if you have an individual plan you must pay the first $1,000 of cost before your insurance kicks in. The $2,000 is if you have a family plan (you have to pay the first $2,000 before the plan kicks in)
The $20 copay is what you have to pay every time you see your doctor.
What comes out of your check each month is your premiums. That is the cost you must pay to have insurance and has nothing to do with your copay or deductibles.
You have to check if your plan includes lab tests. Usually these are included in your deductible which means if you have say $600 of lab tests plus another $400 of hospital stay you had to pay these before your plan coverage kicks in.
Now your plan may be an 80/20 plan which means that after your first $1000 you still have to pay an additional 20% of hospital costs for the rest of the year if you are hospitalized up to a maximum of what is called out of pocket expenses. That maximum is like $5000 or $8000 or $10,000 – something like that. Again you have to check your policy.

First of all I want to wish you all Marry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Everyone loves Christmas and the feeling that is around holidays but we also know that during this period is a good time to buy gifts for the people we love the most and for our friends. This can be a easy task if you know exactly what to look for and what to buy, but if you are among those who do not know what to buy for 2009 Christmas, or for any occasions then you are familiar with the so-called phenomenon “Shopping Fever”.
What is “shopping fever”?
Ok, let’s say that you are a very busy person and don’t have the time to go to the mall and shops to buy gifts, and 2009 Christmas approaches and you still don’t know what to buy and maybe you hate shopping because you think that is a waste of time, and maybe it is but many people loves to shop. Time is passing and you will start to panic and you will buy all kind of gifts for 2009 Christmas that maybe aren’t the best choice.
So, what to do, what gifts to buy, from where to buy them, where is the best and cheapest and most important secure place to find whatever you need? These are a few questions that you probably have in mind.
2009 Christmas is almost here and many people have this problem and for many is a big problem. I think that this a problem that needs solving and in my opinion, if you are stressed by time or any other problem, the best place to buy gifts for 2009 Christmas is online.
You will have to be careful and to do some research before buying anything because not all sites are good sites and trustful and you may be robbed of your money and time. I know, research needs time that many people don’t have, but…
To solve this problem and to help you, I thought that it will be useful to make some research, because I have the time and what I came up is a very nice site that has some suggestions and tips on what is new and hot for 2009 Christmas.
You don’t even need to buy any of that products but it will give you a good idea what gifts you may what to buy and see what people are buying for 2009 Christmas.

Tax Deductions For Pets

Question: Why do Republicans want to give health care to pets but not humans?
Even as his party blocks Democratic attempts to expand health insurance for humans, a Republican congressman is trying to round up support for a bill that would provide a $3,500 annual tax deduction for Americans to pay for the medical care of their pets.
Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.) sent out a “Dear Colleague” letter on Tuesday asking fellow members to co-sponsor his Humanity and Pets Partnered Through the Years (HAPPY) Act, despite the upsurge in concern over the rising cost of health care coverage for actual humans.

Answer: Evidence of their mentality. Insure cars and pets, but people, oh they don’t matter apparently? Where is the logic there? Man I’m glad I live in a country where health care is something most people support and appreciate.
