Tv Tax Deduction

Question: renting house queries?

My partner and i are thinking of renting a house in about 6 months time. We live in a flat which i rent from my mother for £50 a week including bills apart from food which means we have all furniture. Our combined wage is £1546 a month but i have applied for a trainee position which reduces our combind wages to £1280 a month (not including a part time weekend job i hope to get which would be an extra £100 a month). The houses that we’ve looked at in our area are around £450-£550pcm. We are aware that we’d have to pay council tax, tv licence and bills. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much it costs them to rent their house including bills/council tax/tv licence, without deductions or benefits. I want to go into this with my feet firmly on the ground. Thanks :)
Also it’s in The midlands, England.

Answer: I may not be much help, but Iove to talk to Brits. In the US, a good formula is to not pay more than 25-30% of your net monthly income for rent or house payment, not including utilities, phone, renters insurance, etc. I have no idea what the other expenses you mentioned are, but maybe that will help a little. My paternal grandmother immigrated from around Birmingham and I think that may be in your area. Her maiden name was Gregory and her father was a jockey in the Queen’s stables. Anyway, good luck on your hunt. peace

Palestine’s Gift of Christmas

We in the West tell many stories about Jesus Christ, and sing many songs about peace, salvation, giving. But, this seems to have little practical effect when it comes to countering the Israeli aggression in Palestine, notes Manuel García .
