Question: What kind of Dental Expense eligible for Income Tax deduction?

For dental procedures like teeth whitening, Lumineer, which done by licensed dentist but for cosmetic reason more than medical necessities, are they eligible for claiming income tax deduction under the Canada Income Tax Act?
Is there any stipulation for medical necessities in the Canada Income Tax Act for dental expenses?
Thanks your for your help.




Answer: I can’t find anything in the interpretation bulletin that says this procedure cannot be claimed. Dentists are on the eligible list.
