Deductible Tax Expenses

Question: Can U apply ur tax deductable business expenses toward a salaried job assuming you didnt make money in busines?

I have a full time job and a sole proprietorship, but if I don’t make money on my business, can the tax Deductible Expenses incurred from my business be applied to my salaried income? Thus reducing my taxable income for the year?




Answer: No, you business is separate from your full time job. My guess is you report your business on schedule C so all you can do is carry forward any business loss to apply against future business profits.
