Training Tax Deductible

Question: Do American ministers pay taxes on contributions?

I am new to the Pentecostalist ministry; I charge a fee for performing services like funerals, etc., and I have an open invitation for people to send me a donation to help with the cause. However, I am not set up as a non-profit tax-deductible corporation or religous organization. Do I need to do that, for tax purposes? Is that income all exempt from taxes?
These are things I did not learn in Bible training….for this, I need to hear from the legal community!
The cause I am referring to is all the preaching and teaching I do on the Web for the benefit of all those who would listen or read it.

Answer: It is self employment income. You must have a 501c3 certification to receive tax free donations to the church. The church pays you and you are still taxed.
