Tax Deduction Receipts

Question: Can I use my gasoline for a tax deduction?

If I keep the receipts for the gas I buy? Its not for a company vehical or anything like that. Just in general.

Thanks

Answer: In most cases the answer would be no if the vehicle is being used for personal use or commuting. If your state has sales tax and you choose to use general sales tax when itemizing those receipts could be of use.
